With Casale Media®, you can execute your campaign across our entire network or to strategically defined audience-content subnets ("Custom Networks") depending on your specific objectives. OPTIMAX®, the algorithms that power MediaNet®, will dynamically pinpoint your most qualified audience within the targeting constraints specified based on patterns of user response to your messaging.
GEOGRAPHIC TARGETING OPTIONS Geographically target your campaign by selecting from one of the following parameters:
- Country
- Region
- State/province
- City
- DMA (Designated Marketing Area)
- Zip code
CUSTOM TARGETING OPTIONS Custom targeting is available only to campaigns booked under the CPM model. Campaigns eligible for custom targeting can select from any number of the following parameters:
- Channel
Campaigns can be targeted to specific content by selecting from any number of MediaNet's nineteen primary content channels.
- Demographic
Campaigns can be targeted demographically using any number of the following standard audience composition parameters:
- Gender
- Age
- Household income
- Children in household
- Race
- Audience Index
Audience index is a measure of the extent to which a defined user demographic is under or over represented on a particular website. Advertisers can restrict the delivery of their campaign to websites that satisfy their minimum specified audience index for their target demographic segment, e.g. Women 25-54.
- Time of Day and Day of Week Targeting
To reach distinct lifestyle segments, advertisers can target their campaigns based on time of day or day of week, e.g. target the "at-work" audience with a campaign that runs 9AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday.
- Frequency
Response is optimized by adjusting the frequency with which individual users view your ad over a given period of time. Advertisers can also specify a preferred frequency cap in advance that once reached is used as a negative target to prevent further delivery of your campaign to exposed users within the specified time frame.
- Language
Target your campaigns to different language segments. Especially useful for localizing campaigns with creative in multiple languages, e.g. English-speaking only.
- Bandwidth
Match the type of ad placed with the speed of your audience's Internet connection. For example, target rich media ads to only those users with a broadband connection. Or, target business users by delivering ads to users with a corporate connection. Target advertisements to users with any one or combination of the following connection speeds:
- Broadband (e.g. DSL/Cable)
- Corporate (e.g. LAN connection)
- Dial-Up
- Operating System
For advertisers promoting a software product, a user's operating system can be an important targeting variable. In some cases, the psychographic profile of users with different operating systems varies, creating opportunities to reach a more qualified audience. Target advertisements to users with any one or combination of the following operating systems:
- Linux/Unix
- Mac OS
- Windows 2000, 95, 98, ME, NT, XP, Vista
- WebTV
- Web Browser
This is an important filter for technology vendors whose products are web-browser specific. In some cases, the psychographic profile of users with different browsers varies, creating opportunities to reach a more qualified audience. Target advertisements to users with any one or combination of the following web browsers:
- America Online 3, 4
- Internet Explorer 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
- Mozilla 5
- Netscape 2, 4, 7
- Opera 5, 6
- Web TV
- Firefox 1, 2, 3
- User-Agent
RETARGETING Retargeting enables us to identify and target those users who have already shown an interest in or currently use an advertiser's product. These users can then be strategically targeted with different creative and/or at different frequencies while they browse the sites on our network. Retargeting is offered at the campaign-level at no additional premium to your media spend. Retargeting enables Casale Media® to identify and subsequently reach users who have expressed a prior interest in an advertiser's website (e.g. by clicking on a banner ad, by typing the client's website URL into a browser). Retargeting involves the use of an anonymous cookie that is used to identify a user as eligible to receive advertising for a specific client's campaign.
OPTIMIZATION Casale Media's OPTIMAX® technology decides which ads to place on which websites to yield the highest possible campaign response rates and ROI. The platform's dynamic optimization module decides where to place ads based on factors including the subject of a website, the geographical location of the web user viewing the ad, the speed of the user's Internet connection, and the time of day. The system successfully matches network inventory with campaigns that it knows, based on dynamically updated historical data, will perform best. Ads are displayed to those users who are most likely to click or buy, to achieve maximum response.
